Maureen paints about what she wants to see, more than she paints about what it is that she does see. Making art is how she embraces the chaos of the world without trying to control it. She paints what she feels, sees and experiences while focusing on the love. She hopes that you find it in her work. She put it there for you.

Primarily a watercolorist who sometimes switches to thinned acrylics, Maureen creates large format works on canvas, paper and birchwood. She loves creating vibrant works that are expansive and dense with symbols. Painting for Maureen is always a process of emotional fearlessness. Making art is as essential as breathing for her and she hopes that viewing her work will allow you to embrace the chaos of everyday life and remember the miraculous and unexpected moments often ignored.

Beauty is very powerful. It changes the world for the better. Maureen believes in beauty. That’s why she paints. Her work is in private collections in the United States, Ireland, France, England, Scotland, Dubai and the Czech Republic. Maureen is based in Hinsdale, Illinois and represented by Celestial Art Curation Gallery.
