Artist Statement:

My work is rooted in a deep desire to create emotional clarity through color, movement, and layered abstraction. I use professional-grade acrylics and often finish pieces with oil glazes to build depth and create a luminous quality. Each painting becomes a meditative field — a place where chaos resolves into calm, and emotion crystallizes into form.

I am inspired by nature and it’s effect on man-made structures exposed to the elements, and drawn to themes of resilience, transformation, and quiet power — qualities I’ve embodied through years of self discovery and inner healing. Painting allows me to process complexity without needing to explain it. I trust in intuition, gesture, and the physicality of paint to lead the way.

I want my work to live in spaces that offer rest, beauty, and reflection. Whether it’s a collector’s home or a public environment, I hope my paintings create a sense of sanctuary and strength.

Artist Bio:

Christine Gebauer is a contemporary abstract artist based in Hinsdale, Illinois. She is the founder and curator of Celestial Art Curation, a gallery in Hinsdale, Illinois, dedicated to promoting emotionally resonant, high-quality contemporary art. Christine’s work explores the interplay between intuition and structure, often using rich color fields, fluid gestures, and textural layering to evoke themes of healing, resilience, and hope.

Christine approaches her painting practice with intention and depth. Her paintings are created with professional-grade acrylics, often enhanced with oil glazes to create depth and dimension. Her work has been collected by private collectors, featured in local exhibitions, and integrated into numerous interior design projects.

Christine is a mother of two, a passionate supporter of women’s leadership and philanthropy, and an advocate for integrating art into everyday life. She is currently working on several commissions and curation projects for the second half of 2025.
